No setup fee for drop-off milling. Onsite milling is charged from the time I leave my house. Travel distance may be discussed for jobs significantly outside SE Grand Rapids.
Urban logs often contain metal (nails, bolts, screws) that can damage or dull saw blades. The $25 blade fee helps cover blade replacement and maintenance costs when metal is encountered.
Air-drying typically takes about one year per inch of thickness. Our solar kiln speeds this process to 5-8 weeks, depending on wood species and thickness. Solar kiln availability is limited, so early scheduling is recommended.
Complete project management from initial assessment and milling through final crafting. This includes transport, proper seasoning, surfacing, and custom woodworking. We collaborate with skilled local craftsmen for specialized finishing work.
